Icon

The iconic Belmond Hotel Cipriani is as enchanting as its many famous guests. In 1956, Giuseppe Cipriani dreamt of creating a haven close to St Mark’s Square, yet away from the city bustle. Today, exquisite interior touches pay homage to its heritage, while Michelin-starred gastronomy, charming staff and the only Olympic-sized swimming pool in the city set this celebrated property apart.

Insights

Dan Ruff, President & CEO © Belmond

“Belmond has been at the forefront of luxury travel for more than four decades. At the very foundation of our brand is an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of adventure and we strive to continue our legacy of pioneering luxury travel experiences. We stand for understated luxury, for genuine service, for conscientious design and local craftsmanship. But the hallmark of a Belmond experience, is a moment that is infused with joy, celebration, and ultimately, lasts.”

Craftmanship & Design

Craftsmanship and design are in the DNA of the Belmond brand. Inspired by a belief that good design defines authentic experiences, all of the individual properties within Belmond’s global portfolio – from Belmond Eagle Island Lodge in Botswana to Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla – encapsulate the essence, culture and local materials of their magnificent locations. Our heritage buildings and historic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express are museums of ancient decorative craft.

Through its partnership with New Designers, the UK’s most influential source of design talent, Belmond supports emerging creative talent so it can continue inspiring the discerning travellers of tomorrow.
