The art of digital
The LVMH group has been a partner of the International Fashion and Photography Festival in Hyères for the past 14 years. In addition to sponsoring the Fashion program at the festival – a discipline that resonates with the core métier of many Group companies – starting this year LVMH will also sponsor the "Photography" competition.
As a major cultural and creative player in Europe and throughout the world, LVMH is committed to supporting young talents and the development of new technologies in the art of photography. European Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou, whose portfolio covers Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, will present the very first LVMH Digital Photography Award.
"The European Commission fully supports initiatives which inspire the ideas, talent, creativity and innovation that we need in Europe to generate growth and employment. I'm delighted to be associated with the inaugural LVMH Award and look forward to seeing the ten shortlisted projects - I'm sure we will see some stunning digital photography," she said.
