In honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, De Beers Diamond Jewellers is revisiting royal headpieces in a one-of-a-kind work: the Talisman Crown. The unique objet d’art is inspired by another masterpiece of high jewelry craftsmanship, the Talisman Wonder, created by the House in 2011.

The Talisman Crown is studded with hundreds of precious stones representing accomplishments past and future. The achievements of yesteryear are symbolized by the 797 polished diamonds that dazzle the eye, while 177 uncut diamonds whisper of feats yet to come. The eye is quickly drawn to the stunning 73 carat uncut stone that tops the piece.

In a poetic turn, the crown also features unset negative spaces to denote the unwritten future. A fitting homage to the lady who was crowned on June 2, 1953 in London, at age 27.
