The rumor is spreading fast that to celebrate the first Dior ready-to-wear collection by Creative Director Raf Simons, the fashion house is setting up exclusive shops in seven of the world’s most exclusive and trendy fashion temples.
IT in Beijing, Joyce in Hong-Kong, My Boon in Seoul, Colette in Paris, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Jeffrey in New York and Maxfield in Los Angeles will welcome the pop-up stores for a limited stay. The design of the pop-up spaces is inspired by the minimalist, pure and chic spirit of the set design of the runway show.
Each ephemeral space will distinctively capture the essence of the Spring/Summer 2013 ready-to-wear collection. The installations showcase the elegance of the silhouettes and rich fabrics. The exceptional staging of the windows and looks features the familiar structured lines of the Bar jacket.
To accompany this interlude of Parisian chic around the globe, Michel Gaubert, who did the soundtrack for the show, created an exclusive playlist for each of the pop-up stores. The nuanced refinement of this project recounts the multiple facets of the Dior woman by Raf Simons.
