For Fall/Winter 2011 RTW, the Dior House borrows its refinement and elegance from an Englishman’s cloakroom. Shod in thigh boots and wearing large hats, loose-fitting capes and knee-breeches, the Dior silhouettes rediscover the romanticism of the Dandy poets. The overlays and transparencies smoothly unveil the Dior woman with her poisonously poetic charm.
The shades of black, cashmere, organza and velvet combine harmoniously with the leathers, furs and precious tapestries. They thus recreate a palette of colors and textures: moiré silk shorts, flamboyant red pleated skirts and transparent chiffon dresses sprinkled with lace, feathers and embroidery. All the sumptuous savoir-faire of the House of Dior.
