Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Fendi women’s ready-to-wear since 1965, has shot an enigmatic film featuring his Fall/Winter 2013 collection, entitled Invito Pericoloso.

Two of today’s A-list top models, Cara Delevingne and Saskia De Brauw, arrive as night falls for a black-tie dinner in a grand mansion in Rome.  Troubled by the absence of their anonymous host, they begin to feel trapped, and end up dining tête à tête by candlelight.

Designed in conjunction with the advertising spot, this seven-minute cinematic jewel leads us into a mysterious, baroque atmosphere. The two febrile heroines both wear fur, the star of the Fendi wardrobe, which is featured prominently in Karl Lagerfeld’s masterful shooting.

The exquisite details of the filming and the décors transform this short format into a cinematographic creation. The creative director was personally involved in every aspect of the production, from casting to the selection of the different pieces of furniture that help create the distinctively eerie atmosphere.
