Tudo bem

Always ready to encourage discovery of the world’s cultures, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche puts the spotlight on Brazil until June 22, 2013. Three cultural events are featured as the wave of green and yellow unfurls at the store. Artist Pedro Varela has been invited to reinvent the window displays of La Grande Epicerie and Le Bon Marché along rue de Sèvres in a live performance. His psychedelic, playful, almost regressive universe blends organic forms into urban environments.

French visual artist Bertrand Planes is appropriating the rue du Bac pedestrian walkway to present his kaleidoscope of fast-changing Brazilian society. The thirty-eight screen installations  show selected excerpts from Rede Globo TV programming. Finally, on the lower level, photographer Vincent Fournier presents his tribute to legendary architect Oscar Niemeyer.

A fashionable selection of Brazil-themed surf wear in catchy geometric or tropical prints for men, women, and children is available at the store. And there’s a wide range of designer items and food delicacies showcased in culinary events at La Grande Epicerie. In all, there are over 120 sun-drenched brands to discover!
