Louis Vuitton in Tokyo

A true alter ego, the Espace culturel Louis Vuitton Tokyo echoes the trailblazing space at the Maison des Champs-Elysées in Paris. Each year this new art space in the heart of the fascinating city will host three exhibitions by upcoming or recognized artists. The inaugural guest is French artist Xavier Veilhan, who presents a show called “Free Fall” until May 8, 2011.

Designed by architect Jun Aoki, the Louis Vuitton Omotesando global store is inspired by a stack of diverse size trunks, an architectural reference to the iconic Louis Vuitton object. With its 8-meter high ceiling and 200 sq. meters of floorspace, this new Espace Culturel invites visitors into an amazing glass-encased aerial volume.
