Dutch artist Piet Hein Eek has designed individually numbered boxes and created a monumental work of art for Ruinart inspired by the Champagne house’s Blanc de Blancs. Already displayed at major contemporary art events like Art Basel and MiArt Milan, his work is now being shown at the FIAC 2013 art fair in Paris until October 27th.

The material, wood, references the wooden transport cases that Ruinart began using in 1769, while the vaulted shape evokes the majestic ceilings of the Ruinart chalk cellars. Ruinart has a longstanding history of collaboration with artists and this new work, melding craftsmanship and architecture, adds another memorable page to a continuing story.
