Xiang Yang store

Sephora is opening its largest ever store in China in one of the liveliest upscale districts of Shanghai. The House launched its successful foray into the Chinese market in 2005.

With an iconic location at the bustling junction of Nanjing West Road and Maoming Road, this new temple of beauty offers 118 different brands—including 17 Asian brands—and a total of nearly 7,000 products over 1,500 square meters of floorspace. The offering is perfectly calibrated to meet the exacting expectations of Chinese consumers.

The brand’s bold and futuristic architectural style transports customers into an exciting fresh dimension featuring a powerful new twist on Sephora’s brand codes. The dazzling 1,600 square-meter facade is a unique, dreamlike piece of design that incorporates a swathe of destructured parallel illuminated stripes.

To guarantee the best possible personalized shopping experience, the new Sephora flagship store also proposes a wide range of services, including a Brow Bar by Benefit and a Make Up School from Make Up For Ever, underlining the singular depth and breadth of the brand’s beauty expertise.

“We are very proud to be opening this new store in Shanghai. It reflects the success of the brand among Chinese customers, who are especially demanding. Our new store embodies a concept inspired by quality and innovation, proposing a unique shopping experience in all our stores,” said Chris de Lapuente, CEO of Sephora.
