Selected from the best grapes of Spain’s Toro terroir, in Spain’s Castilla y Leon region, the Numanthia 2007 vintage expresses slow ripening and late harvest of the grapes. A broad palette of flavors includes intense notes of red and black fruit, joined by cacao and a blend of spices: cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper

A dry, clement winter was followed by a cool, rainy summer, enabling a gradual flowering of the vines. Picked at optimal ripeness from these low-yielding vines, the grapes are intensely fruity and concentrated. The 2007 vintage was aged in French oak for 14 months, giving it remarkable elegance and velvety depth.
