Ruinart, the oldest Champagne house, asked celebrated designer Patricia Urquiola to decorate its 2010 Collection Prestige of its enigmatic Blanc des Blancs. Named "Fil d'Or", or "Golden Thread", the box revisits the wire cork cage, an emblematic object associated with champagne.

In a hue that enhances the luminosity of the Chardonnay, the delicate interlacing of golden thread subtly embraces the curves of the bottle, like a sumptuous jewel. The creation evokes the precious packing used by Nicolas Ruinart, the cloth trader who founded the house in 1729.
