Fall/Winter 2011 RTW. Amid illuminated rose windows, the Kenzo collection plunges us into the alchemical atmosphere of Mexico. In a tribute to Frida Kahlo, Antonio Marras imagines the Kenzo woman as a sensual rebel. Whether in a long and diaphanous dress or an oversized men’s suit, the swaggering models delicately display a virile femininity and masculine charm.
Kenzo's intimate collection reveals an earthy color palette of moss-green, burnt browns, ocher, bronze and aubergine. A genuine patchwork of materials and patterns, the knit is worked in jacquard and braided. The chiffons are encrusted with floral prints, cashmere, Calais lace and striped fabrics.
