For Fall/Winter 2011 RTW, the wild card Riccardo Tisci lets loose a dark-colored feline horde in the bucolic setting of the Tokyo Palace. The Givenchy girls, in patent leather or velvet pencil skirts and blouses covered with purple pansy patterns & black panther-head prints, tread the podium perched on dizzying stiletto heels, whose gold metal straps enhance the ankles.

Resonating with his creations for men’s fashion, Tisci instills a new strength into the Givenchy female wardrobe, one that is unsettling & wild, sharp & sensual. A strength expressed in the basques worn as mini-skirts, the vinyl leather of the jackets and the transparencies of the nylon skirts or blouses that reveal thigh-high stockings.
