There’s a new breeze blowing at Dior. In the spirit of the haute couture collection, Bill Gaytten returns to the House’s luxury-meets-discreet-poetry essence. The models sport small caps and hounds tooth dresses in subdued colors with calf-length skirts and raised waistlines. It’s a decidedly tidy Dior silhouette, with retro charm.

Opulent silk or supple leather skirts cinched over short vests delicately showcase curves. A reinterpretation of the legendary Bar suit pops up throughout the collection, while another House code, the sloped shoulder, is also revisited. For evening, floor-length bustier gowns in transparent, floaty silk chiffon transcend the very soul of Dior.
