At Givenchy, primarily dark silhouettes float down a catwalk plunged in shadow. This season, Artistic Director Riccardo Tisci opted for radical sensuality. Leather, seen everywhere, gives an equestrian feel, while black tones predominate, flirting voluptuously with red, purple, camel, chestnut and chocolate. For Givenchy, women boast a troubling confidence.

Riccardo Tisci’s trademark dark palette is applied to color blocked designs enhanced by the light playing off enamelled leather panels. Jodhpurs tucked into riding boots mix seamlessly with pleated skirts, quilted blazers and long, belted coats. Flaming red lace camisoles propose a nod to the raw eroticism of Guy Bourdin.
