haumet is official partner of France's Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma for the fifth consecutive year, once again sponsoring the French cinema's "2009 New Talents" category at the 34th César film awards.
The thirty-two candidates selected for the "Best Newcomer 2008" award were photographed by Richard Schroeder. His stunning series of photos was exhibited at Chaumet’s private salons on Place Vendôme in Paris on January 20.
Director Benjamin Boccas filmed a lively "making of" documentary of the photo session. His film was premiered for members of the movie industry at the exhibition before screening in more than 400 theaters from January 21 to February 3.
Ten of the thirty-two promising actors and actresses have been nominated for the "Best Male Newcomer" and "Best Female Newcomer" César award.
They include Léa Seydoux for her role in La belle personne by Christophe Honoré, Louise Bourgoin for her role in La fille de Monaco by Anne Fontaine, and Pio Marmaï, who was featured in Rémi Bezançon's film Le premier jour du reste de ta vie.

Chaumet has been inspired by artistic creativity since the very founding of the jewelry house. In 2007 it gave the public a chance to discover young film stars by hosting a photo exhibition by Kate Barry in its salons.
