As the final jury selection for the 2015 LVMH Prize draws near, we look back at a very busy year for Thomas Tait, winner of the Prize in 2014. A full schedule during the past 12 months included the designer’s first collection during London Fashion Week.

Thomas Tait, the winner of the first LVMH Prize in 2014, talks about the opportunities created over the past year thanks to the Prize. The Canadian designer won over the jury with his original creations, structured around his work and plays with different materials, coupled with an ultra-precise attention to details and artisanal excellence. His long-term vision for his House has confirmed his potential to become one of tomorrow’s most promising designers.

The LVMH Prize, support from LVMH Group teams and a grant of 300,000 euros have allowed Thomas Tait to affirm his style and give free rein to his creativity, thanks to privileged access to materials that help nourish his imagination. He was selected for the London Fashion Week schedule, presenting a Fall-Winter 2015 collection that won enthusiastic praise from British and international fashion writers. Thomas Tait has also been invited as the guest womenswear designer at the Florence Pitti Uomo Immagine fair in June 2015.
