LVMH announces the appointment of Antonio Marras as artistic director of Kenzo of the Women universe.
Following the initial positive results in repositioning the brand and upgrading operating practices, the arrival of Antonio Marras will facilitate the renaissance of Kenzo and will accelerate further development.
Based in Italy, Antonio Marras produced his first show in Rome, in 1996, and quickly established himself, both through his distinctive designs, which combined both culture and era, and via stunning shows of epic scale.
Very much in the spirit of Kenzo, Antonio Marras portrays a world both rich and poetic, mixing influences and forging links between the world of fashion and other forms of artistic expression. Inspired by the workshop, using cultural symbolism, Antonio Marras invents his own contemporary language, creates stunning clothes, each with their own story, imbuing women with freedom, authenticity and originality.
Vincent Huguenin, chief executive officer of Kenzo, commented : " I am delighted to welcome Antonio Marras, whose style and creativity are very close to the values of freedom, generosity and fun that embody Kenzo".
