Edward J. Brennan was born in the United States in 1956.

He is a graduate of Niagara University (New York).

He spent almost 20 years in management with U.S. retailers R.H. Macy & Co. and Federated Department Stores.

Mr. Brennan joined DFS in 1997 as Executive Vice President Merchandising & Operations for Hawaii, before becoming President of DFS for North America and Hawaii. In 1999 he was named CEO of DFS Group and in 2001 he added the position of Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, DFS Group has evolved from a solely duty free retailer to the world’s leading luxury retailer for international travelers.

Edward J. Brennan sits on the LVMH Executive Committee and is a director of Onboard Media and Starboard Inc.

He is the co-founder and chairman of the Hand in Hand for Haiti charity.
