LVMH clearly recognizes the importance and benefits of diversity, anchoring our active commitment.

LVMH has a long track record of positive initiatives to encourage the professional development of women in all positions and at every level of the organization. Women account for 74% of our workforce, 62% of managers and 38% of the members on our brands’ Executive Committees.

LVMH management actively supports gender diversity. The Group’s human resources policy promotes equal treatment in all fundamental areas— recruitment, training, equal pay, maternity and paternity leave, etc.

What’s more, LVMH has introduced a range of forward-facing initiatives to promote women in leadership, including the creation of women’s networks and mentoring and coaching programs.

The Group is equally committed to fostering a healthy work/life balance. This responsible policy is key to supporting positive career development for men and women alike.

On November 13th 2013, LVMH and 30 Maisons of the Group signed the Women Empowerment Principles. A product of collaboration between UN Women and the UN Global Compact, the WEPs are a set of 7 principles offering guidance to businesses on the empowerment of women in the workplace, marketplace and community. 

The Group’s current actions supporting the WEPs include mentoring and networking programs, actions to prevent gender discrimination, policies assisting parenthood and community initiatives.
