Job responsibilities

YOUR MISSION _________

Reporting to the Senior Retail manager, PCD Travel Retail JAPAN, this role is responsible for on-the-ground training, guidance and support to our field sales teams to ensure consistent excellence in customer service standards, product knowledge and sales techniques. This position will also work closely with Training Manager, retail teams and specialists to ensure that training materials are relevant to shopfloor requirements and adapted to respective regions. He/she will also play a crucial role in developing and motivating our team members to achieve their goals and maximize their potential.


Training

• Align with regional training teams and Training Manager Japan on newness content and adapt based on market and proficiency

• Work with specialists on periodic sharing with field teams to ensure they keep abreast of creative sales techniques and latest market trends

• Share Beauty Consultants (BCs) grooming guidelines and work with field teams to ensure that all BCs are well-groomed based on brand standards

• By collaborating with Training Manager, Field Coach will plan and deliver training programs (in-class/virtual) to new and existing field sales team members on product knowledge, customer service, and sales strategies

• Conduct regular counter visits to understand support needed by field teams to better link-sell and cross-sell

• Map out yearly training plan of generic staff training sessions and individual counter coaching

• Support on ad-hoc projects and assist in regional BC Seminars/workshops/ events

 

Field Coaching

• Review and track regularly BC performance before and after counter coaching, to be reviewed with retail teams and Training Manager.

• Quarterly sharing on best practices and evolution of BC skills

• Foster a positive and motivating team environment by recognizing achievements, encouraging teamwork, and promoting a customer-centric mindset

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the field sales team

• Maintain strong relationships with field sales team members, providing ongoing support and guidance to facilitate their professional growth.

Profile

WHO YOU ARE _________

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)

• Passion for beauty

• Knowledge of beauty and styling techniques

• Dynamic and motivational presentation skills

• Possess exemplary service and customer orientated mindset

• Positive thinking, result-oriented, proactive and creative

• Able to work independently and self-motivated

• Proactive and a good team player

• Ability to multitask and keen to learn

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressure environment

• Mature, open-minded with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Fluency in spoken & written Japanese is a must, English or Mandarin or Chinese speaking a plus.
