Come and be part of our Watch & Jewelry division with our dynamic team located in Coral Gables, Florida. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial data and explanations to management of LVMH Watch & Jewelry Caribbean and Latin America (CLA) on a timely basis while insuring transactions are properly accounted for within generally accepted and standard accounting practices.  


This position reports to the Director of Finance and Operations Manager of CLA. Manage one direct report: Accounting Clerk. 


You will interact with other members of the Finance & Operations team, Sales team and Marketing team. You will slso communicate regularly with a variety of positions within the organization including US head office in NJ and European headquarters (Switzerland). 


-Understands finance concepts and impact of decisions;

-Knowledge of financial reporting;

-Experience with monthly as well as seasonal accounting activities

-Possesses a clear understanding of basic accounting practices for posting journal entries, processing           

 month end close, best practices for accruals and method for preparation of financial statements;

-Expert level MS Excel - able to create spreadsheets and manipulate data effectively for analysis; pivot table   and V-lookup experience a plus;

-Experience with SAP navigation strongly preferred;

-Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and   professional manner both in written and verbal formats;

-Demonstrated ability to adeptly manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail;

-Adept at assimilating quickly to changes within a fast-paced business environment;

-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

-Ability to build effective partnerships with each assigned business area; and

-Ability to use financial data and creative ideas to strengthen the brand's business.

Additional information

-Responsible for the integrity of the general ledger accounts, ensuring that P&L accounts are used

consistently and that all balance sheet accounts balances can be substantiated.

-Oversees the accounts payable function. Responsible for timely payment of all company expenses. 

-Partners with all departments to understand anticipated trends in Marketing and OPEX in anticipation of

 each closing cycle.

-Responsible for closing books in an accurate and timely manner.

-Prior to close, review activity to ensure anticipated activity has been booked and any unanticipated activity is identified and investigated.

-During close process, reviews actuals for consistency with forecast and understands main drivers for


-Coordinate CLA closing process with LVMH W&J USA Accounting Manager.

-Responsible for working with all departments (sales, marketing, operations) that have an impact on financial

 statements to understand key business initiatives and ensure that the financial implications of those   

 initiatives are captured properly in the books and records.

-Manage/Coordinate Budget process (OPEX, CAPEX and Marketing expenses)

-Serves as key business / financial consultant for other CLA's departments

-Ensure CLA's processes and rules are in line with LVMH Internal Controlling rules.

-Primary contact for internal and external auditor

-Responsible for continued automation and streamlining of daily / closing / reporting processes

-Key financial representative in various initiatives and projects
