Job Summary

Key support in the development of compensation & benefits for Fashion Group Asia Pacific through acting as the point to go (a consultant) on all aspects of compensation & benefits. Coach junior members of the team on concepts and C&B, its strategic setting for business and analytical skills. Equip HRBPs with latest comp & ben trends thus facilitating the growth of business and people.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the build of C&B structure that suits needs of Fashion Group and across brands
  • Participate in all types of compensation and benefits surveys, including job matching and raw data gathering
  • Understand survey results and convert into useful info for senior management and HRBPs
  • Through working with HRBPs, support the retail's variable pay scheme design; Conduct scheme reviews to ensure prevailing schemes are adaptive to business needs as well as total compensations that is competitive to market players
  • Support individual package validations, and compute expatriate packages
  • In charge of annual compensation review by providing latest market benchmarks to HRBPs for proposals, validate proposals before submitting to the Group and HQs
  • Review budgets/forecasts prepared by HRBPs, support through advising latest C&B trends and ordinance as to arise to an appropriate budget
  • Analyse budgets/forecasts and discuss findings with business planning & control for adjustments thus accommodate the needed costs for business
  • In charge of policy reviews and the communication of policies
  • In charge of benefit communications and relate benefits on offer to employee engagement
  • Occasional support to C&B operations, e.g. regular reporting and ad hoc operational related requests
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned



  • University graduate in human resources management, business management or any science related discipline
  • At least eight years (8) of relevant experience in compensation & benefits from retail/FMCG environment, ideally with some regional (Asia Pacific) exposure
  • Strong in reasoning with numbers, capable to translate qualitative comments into quantitative measures, and analysis
  • Mindset of a strategic business partner to HRBPs and senior management; Able to relate to C&B strategies to day-to-day business
  • Details orientated, curious of the day to day, able to challenge oneself on efficiency & effectiveness
  • Good command of excel, some exposure in BI would be an added asset though not a pre-requisite
