Louis Vuitton is searching for an Assistant Controller based in our New York City office responsible for managing the account and financial reporting functions for Louis Vuitton Americas. Key duties of this role include review and analysis of accounts, preparation of financial statements, and financial and management reporting. You will partner with Financial Planning and Analysis on budget and forecast development, budget to actual comparisons and period end financial performance analysis. Additionally, you will partner with the Louis Vuitton Brazil and Mexico offices to ensure best practices in financial reporting.


This role will also manage the monthly and year to date financial reporting and analysis, preparing monthly, quarterly and year end close to ensure timely and accurate reporting to our parent company, and prepare monthly margin analysis. You will analyze and reconcile accounts monthly, and coordinate the implementation of new accounting processes, and manage journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.


We are eager to speak to individuals that possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance distinctions, with at least 8 years' experience in accounting (3 years in public accounting required). Advanced quantitative, analytical and Excel skills are required, as well as strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. Experience within the retail industry and/or a multinational company, as well as holding a CPA and working knowledge of SAP, Inventory and Fixed Asset Sub-Ledgers are a plus. In addition, this individual must have strong leadership skills and experience effectively growing and developing large teams.
