  • Delivering profitability of the business through the forward forecasting of turnover and stock levels through the Retail channels
  • Analysing and reporting trade results across the business



  • Analyse Trade at Line and Category level with recommendations for action:
    • Phasing/Production
    • Promotional
    • Distribution
    • Repeat buys
  • Update Weekly Trade Comments for own areas
  • Weekly update, review and generate actions required from CORE flowlines
  • Provide CORE replenishment forecasts to Buying team
  • Weekly update, review and generate actions required from Category WSSIs on areas of responsibility
  • Oversee any ad-hoc analysis produced by junior team members


  • Responsible for production of all category and channel analysis required for sign off including key take outs for Line Manager - ensuring in line with CP and Plan Calendar
  • Set up and input all history for plan packs
  • Responsibility for updating and FC Core flowlines for input into Planning packs
  • Actively takes part and inputs into Team Review & Strategy meetings
  • Plans area of responsibility with supervision from Line Manager + with Buying
  • Presents in Directors' Meeting with input from Line Manager
  • Works with Buyer to input volumes by line level for own areas
  • Works with Buyer to Produce Commercial and viable range
  • Sets up new Season Cat WSSI for own areas


Stock Management

  • Responsible for ensuring stock delivered in line with WSSI plan
  • Reconciles WSSI intake week to week
  • Proposes actions on delivery re-phasing
  • Responsibility for proposing & follow up of action regarding re-phasing of deliveries
  • Proactively analyses impact of late deliveries
  • Late deliveries are presented with solutions and impact to Line Manager
  • Ownership of placing / phasing of Core deliveries in line with Fwd Cov KPI
  • Actions RC at end season
  • Works with Buying to ensure Crit Path is met and ex-fact dates are achieved


  • Responsible for producing Size Breakdowns
  • Actions sizing review for Core lines
  • Ownership for Instock %age at SKU level
  • Responsibility for ensuring all Size Groups are correct in the buy sheet


  • Communicate with Buying team on any trade related product replenishment, cancellations or delivery needs
  • Communicate weekly with Channel Merch on store feedback, delivery updates and allocation/branch merchandising priorities
  • Provide business performance actual and forecast metrics to management as needed


  • Support Line Manager in building an Effective and Motivated Team
  • Operate within own team and demonstrate team work within Merchandise function
  • Develop helpful and effective working relationships with other Functions: Buying, Wholesale and Franchise, WH, Production and development, Design
