Position

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE 

The Associate Manager, Global Purchasing will be responsible for sourcing projects on an integral portion of the fresh business: Promotional (Promo) & Sampling packaging programs. The Associate Manager, Global Purchasing will prioritize supporting fresh innovation and low carbon footprint development, with respect to fresh's purchasing strategy and road for a sustainable and profitable growth. As a key cross functional partner, the Associate Manager, Global Purchasing will have the opportunity to work closely with Global Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Global Packaging and many other departments within fresh HQ.

The Associate Manager, Global Purchasing is a strong communicator with both internal and external partners, consistently coming to the table with a solution-oriented mindset. With strong project management skills, the Associate Manager, Global Purchasing is motivated by owning multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the fresh sourcing strategy as a key partner to the Promo & Sampling innovation team:
    • Attend the New Product Development meetings
    • Lead costs estimates of different design options
    • Manage a competitive Request for Quotation process among a vendor selection from the Company Supplier's list.
    • Negotiate the best pricing conditions based on an understanding of components price break down, technical specifications and quality requirements.
    • Ensure to respect timing and approved conditions until the end of the development
  • Suggest and achieve targeted project costs by proposing a total supply chain cost optimization and product value analysis.
  • Develop and propose improvements on the purchasing processes to achieve a low carbon footprint
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership among Promo & Sampling packaging Suppliers
  • Organize Suppliers' innovation meetings
  • Manage agreement terms and compliance, including Code of Conduct and NDA's
  • Participate in and potentially lead suppliers' negotiations
  • Lead invoice discrepancies discussions with vendors
  • Lead vendor charge back discussions
  • Manage ERP system maintenance (pricing)
  • Manage non inventory orders (tooling)
  • Develop and distribute analytical reports as requested

Profile

  • At least three years' experience in purchasing or a related field, ideally in the beauty industry
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Able to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Self-Starter, driven for results
  • Capable of managing complex projects and multiple priorities
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally through strong written and verbal communication
  • Works with integrity, a sense of trust and a high level of motivation
