Responsible for supporting the business strategy, buying process, allocation and distribution of Women's RTW & Shoes product categories in the Americas Boutiques in accordance with total company strategic business plans.    



Merchandising Functions

  • Review weekly sales reports ensuring planned sales and stretch are achieved
  • Recommend opportunities to place reorders in Women's RTW and & Shoes categories
  • Assist in buffer management and stock rebalances
  • Review and follow up with shipping and deliveries
  • Support in new store openings and pop ups
  • Manage inventory for store events
  • Recap show and incentive results
  • Support Senior Merchandise Mangers on Weekly/Monthly Sales, Receipt and Stock forecasting. Use analysis to make accurate projections and present strategies to improve inventory productivity and sell-thru.
  • Assist in markdown preparations (recommend styles to markdown)
  • Review sales results on Advertising campaigns and catalogue styles
  • Responsible for Seasonal Reserve process: buy book creation, communication and follow up with boutiques, ensuring client orders are filled accurately, strategically adjust allocations
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and needs through store visits and seasonal competitor analysis
  • Communicate and Partner very closely with Retail teams on client needs and day to day inquiries
  • Work with Senior Merchandise Managers on effective communication with the Paris central merchandising team to provide feedback and outline needs of the market
  • Assist Senior Merchandise Managers during 4 seasonal markets in Paris/Virtual Market:
    • Assist in premarket analysis: by store, classification and sizing. Identify opportunities within each region.  Present strategy to Senior Merchandise Managers.
    • Aggregate boutique feedback before and after collection is presented
    • Assist in defining store assortment by product category and by store cluster
    • Size by SKU and by Boutique based on analysis and boutique feedback/requests for top clients and market opportunities
    • Remain positive, energetic, and organized while meeting tight deadlines during high-paced and demanding buying sessions

Reporting Functions

  • Prepare weekly reports and newsletters
  • Prepare and review fast/slow sellers report
  • Prepare and review sell through report
  • Prepare seasonal collection and sizing feedback for stores
  • Provide end of season (EOS) product analysis and recaps

  • 3 years prior Merchandising/Buying experience, luxury retail Women's RTW and/or Shoe experience preferred; strong working knowledge of Retail Math and Retail KPIs
  • Advanced Excel (heavy excel workload)
  • Ability for frequent domestic and international travel
  • Strong knowledge of all other Microsoft Office programs, specifically excellent skills in PowerPoint
