Position

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Associate Manager/Manager, Production Planning will be responsible for a category of fresh's product planning, and procurement of components and planning of productions at subcontractors. Reporting to the Associate Director, Planning within the Global Supply Chain team s/he will drive planning and procurement on finished goods and components on a dedicated portfolio of products. While partnering with the Global Planning team with vendor management and various reports and processes such as Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and End of Life (EOL), the Associate Manager/Manager Production Planning will be required to make quick decisions in a highly agile environment.

S/he is a strong team-player and possesses a process-oriented mindset with proven problem-solving capabilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan the procurement of finished goods and components (using AX MRP) to ensure on-time in-full deliveries to the distribution centers on a dedicated portfolio of fresh products
  • Maintain fill rates at or above corporate targets
  • Expedite, defer and cancel PO's to meet fill rate and inventory turn requirements
  • Act as main contact for a portfolio of vendors, animate weekly call
  • Detect opportunities of improvement; Implement strong processes
  • Continuously improve service level on specific category
  • Review weekly reports (including weekly alerts)
  • Manage the end of life process.
  • Solve daily issues, make quick decisions, stay on top of actions.
  • Ad hoc projects for Planning team as needed

What you will learn in the first 6 months:

  • The fresh supply chain flow
  • General understanding of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Engineering Change Request (ECR), and End of Life (EOL) processes
  • General knowledge of the assigned portfolio
  • Building relationships with suppliers and lead calls
  • Working knowledge of AX
  • Working knowledge of QLIK

What you will achieve in 12 months:

  • Strong knowledge of portfolio
  • Good relationships with Suppliers

  • Review reporting from BI tool and execute to keep system up to date
  • Create action plans with suppliers

 


Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Minimum five years experience in production planning, third party manufacturing management, and/or contract manufacturing management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MRP
  • Must be proactive, ability to teach, quick learner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Hardworking, ability to work under pressure, quick decision maker
  • Experience on AX
  • Experience in the cosmetic or skincare industry
  • Packaging/components Manufacturing experience
