Job Description:

Ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen with a background in business planning, master of data, allocation and operations. The open position is a pivotal role with cross functional interactions regionally and centrally HQ who will be working to advocate for North America (US + Canada) business needs in order to maximize sales potential across retail, digital and outlet business. The candidate will be a key member of merchandising/supply chain/business planning team supporting business operations, delivering key business insights, and continuously improving the analytical capabilities for cross-functional stakeholders across the organization as well as standardize business process for continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Manage distribution planning parameters daily, weekly, monthly to ensure product flow from Italy to regional zone, and local warehouse to stores in close collaboration with central team.
  • Support the local team in managing inventory, optimizing product availability and sell trough
  • Close teamwork with regional and central teams to coordinate actions such as launch set up, replenishments, inventory and reorders to support the business
  • Ensure steady availability on permanent product by forecasting 12-18 months sales potential by category, activity and sku level (demand planning, reorder planning, defining the model stock, market replenishment)
  • Support with fiscal budget/best estimate planning including ad hoc reporting to propose concrete actions highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Ensure a smooth collaboration with logistic teams in local warehouse to coordinate spot action/solutions to speed up flows of priority merchandise
  • Cognizance of nuance around process, data, systems to drive decisions making, challenge and propose improvements on existing process
  • Interact with other teams (Finance, IT, Warehouse operator, other Distribution Centers ...)

 

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of previous working experience in a similar role
  • Consulting or investment banking backgrounds with a focus on retail and consumer goods are welcome
  • Good knowledge of supply chain, demand planning and logistics
  • Experience in luxury or fashion business a plus

Skills:

  • Quantitative analytical skills and computer savvy
  • Reliability in data analysis and accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft (Master of Excel)
  • VBA, ODBC, experience in Anaplan/CEGID/JDE is an advantage
  • Fluent in English; French a plus
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
    • Able to work across functional areas / levels of the organization and to interact at distance
