Position

Under the leadership of the Wholesale Team, the Brand Manager will play a key role in positioning and selling the Nicholas Kirkwood brand in the US. This Brand Manager represents the ‘face of the brand' and is responsible for the knowledge of product, product training/education for sales staff, and product feedback. S/he has advanced client and business development skills.

  • Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and customer service, enabling all sales associates and personal shoppers to maximize Nicholas Kirkwood sales
  • React to pre-order opportunities, keeping track of stock levels, optimizing inventory
  • Provide context to weekly selling reports and standing vs. competitive brands
  • Work with the Nicholas Kirkwood and visual merchandising teams in order to maintain merchandising standards
  • Partner with sales team inclusive of Personal Shopping and VIP client services to know in advance roster of all appointments and propose products
  • Provide feedback and insight on missed opportunities, best sellers, competition
  • Strategize and partner with sales team on executing selling initiatives including contests, focus days, personal shopper events to drive full price business
  • Organise and assist with in season product training. This includes compiling seasonal wholesale marketing materials for clinics/store visits etc.
  • Partner with wholesale team during seasonal selling campaigns; assisting Buyers in fine tuning store buys to accommodate client needs and maximize sales
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting/analysis as needed, including client analysis, sell-through data, sell-in versus sell-out reporting, end of market analysis, and budget planning

Profile

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in a wholesale and/or retail customer-focused luxury environment
  • Previous experience in footwear preferred
  • College Degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an in-depth knowledge of Excel
  • Impeccable customer service, product presentation, and communication skills required
  • Excellent at working and delivering against deadlines and the ability to work under pressure
  • A proactive approach in tackling issues and ability to identify and implement solutions
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all internal and external customers and at all levels of the organization
