Position

Mission Statement 

To work alongside the Commercial Planning team, heavily involved in the day to day of MHUK commercial operations. Collaborate with the Off-Trade Sales team by providing support, analysis and insights. Take an active part in all topics managed by Commercial Planning.

 

Main Responsibilities

Be the Off-Trade Channel Planning Expert

Coordinate the monthly planning cycle for Off-Trade for the Off-Trade sales team:

  • Become the key Commercial Planning point of contact for Off-Trade team
  • Monitor and communicate planning deadlines. Review planning process to improve accuracy
  • Actively participate in the monthly forecasting process; organise monthly business reviews with the sales team looking at sales accuracy, pricing, promotional plans and general performance

Support the Off-Trade sales team on their planning journey

  • Answer requests from sales team, ad-hoc analyses, build, maintain and communicate reports

Become The planning tool expert (SAP BPC)

  • Business Planning Tool point of reference for sales team and IT
  • Management of reports and input schedules, load of monthly actuals
  • Actively take part into the sales organization remapping in the system
  • Explore new ways to use BPC for sales teams

 

MHUK Allocations Management

Responsible for the management of an allocation process for our limited-edition prestige products, ensuring that each bottle reaches the intended channel & customer

  • Allocate a strategic number of product per key channels / customers in the UK market at the beginning of the year
  • Build and communicate a tracker for each brand in order to monitor the consumption of each channel / customer vs. allocations and adjust the strategy if required.
  • Animate a monthly meeting with with brand teams, finance and supply chain to ensure respect of brand guidelines, financial budget, supply availability and commercial reality
  • Implement the agreed allocations in SAP. Day to day management of allocations in SAP in close link with customer service, sales teams and brand managers

 

Sales Team Support & FTT Management

Assist the team in all steps of the promotional funds (FTT) input & management

  • Create and amend the PAFs (Promotional Agreement Form) in SAP/VISTEX throughout the year
  • Manage the Workflow website where PAFs are validated and tracked by the business
  • Drive the Off-Trade FTT Challenge with the Commercial Planning Business Partner by building reports, meeting with sales teams, amending SAP/Vistex forecast to ensure budget is achieved
  • Build and maintain the Off-Trade customer hierarchy in SAP, coordinating with credit control and supply chain to ensure proper set up of customers and products

 

Commercial Planning Training & Documentation

  • Work with the Commercial Planning Business Partner to regularly train the Off-Trade sales team on all Commercial Planning topics
  • Organise Commercial Planning inductions for new joiners; covering planning cycle, forecasting tools (BPC) and other commercial software (SAP, Qliksense, Cognos)
  • Prepare, set up and animate two half days of Commercial Planning "refresher" trainings for Off-Trade sales team
  • Build and maintain adequate documentation on the various Off-Trade Commercial Planning processes

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

EducationDegree level

 

Professional experience & know how :

  • Proven systems & data management experience in a commercial environment
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to improve overall efficiency and to ensure deadlines are met
  • Interest in the Wines & Spirits industry

 

Technical & management skills :

  • Information systems acumen: Business Planning tools, SAP a plus
  • Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint expert
  • Fluent English
