Position

The Controller works within the Finance EMEI Department in close cooperation with the Merchandising and Supply Chain teams, being in charge of the following activities:

End of month Closing and Forecasts

  • Monthly check of net sales by store (ensure all systems are updated) and analyze the level of discounts by channel compared to PY and Budget
  • Ensure the standard gross margin is properly calculated and provides monthly analysis to Eu management control
  • Ensure that the depreciation policy is properly applied and provide monthly analysis to Eu management control and delta analysis vs last forecast assumptions
  • Monitor effect of reflags
  • Participate with Eu management control to budget and revisions preparation and presentation: ensure detailed assumptions and backup by season and by product category, ensure coordination with OTB assumptions
  • Monitor and advice on the inventory depletion program and provide variance analysis vs actuals

Reports and Controls

  • Provides monthly reporting on inventory quality by season and by product category
  • Provides monthly reporting on sell thorough and moc
  • Checks consistency between OTB and sales plan, between orders and OTB and between orders and effective deliveries
  • Controls monthly proper stock allocation to stores and outlets based on inventory flags
  • Produce on a monthly basis a set of reports related to inventory transactions (stock adjustments, destruction/defectives, braderie/for sale items in store after markdowns, stock valorization, negatives,...) to be shared with the retail directors, CFO and Zone President
  • Produce on a monthly basis reports on the productivity by product category

Inventory movements and Stock Valorization:

  • Supervise daily all stock movements and ensure all systems are updated and data are properly reconciled
  • Ensure correctness of inventory data in terms of quantities and value

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or Engineering
  • 5 years' experience within the management control of a multinational company
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Excellend command of IT tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full proficiency in English
