Louis Vuitton is seeking a Customs Assistant as a temporary maternity leave cover (minimum 4 month commitment) based in our New York office who will work with the Customs and Logistics team to facilitate customs compliance and daily operations concerning products being imported to and exported from the Americas. You will support the team by assisting with field requests from customs brokers to obtain missing information on documentation and work directly with LV Manufacturing to acquire the answers. In addition, you will process billing for customs compliance vendors and manage the Classification database in order to work with third parties for classification of new SKU's. Lastly, you will provide overall assistance to the Logistics department in regards to projects, store trainings, and assisting other brands in the LVMH portfolio when needed.
We are eager to speak to professionals with a minimum of one to two years' of experience in Logistics and/or Customs who have a true desire to work in the Customs field and possess a Bachelor's Degree. You will have elevated communication and organizational skills, a strong sense of urgency, and drive for results. In addition, you will have excellent Microsoft Excel abilities, experience with working in a fast paced environment, and be able to work both in a team environment as well as independently.
