Position

MAIN OBJECTIVE

The Digital Analyst for fresh will support the development of valuable insights across complex data sets and digital platforms to support a comprehensive global strategy to enhance customer engagement from acquisition to retention. The customer engagement team, critical to building a data-driven, customer-centric organization, is committed to creating best-in-class digital experiences to provide data science to drive our efforts. The Digital Analyst, a highly technical and skilled practitioner, will support the Director, Global Customer Engagement by assessing the global customer database, generating hypotheses for customer loyalty, creating predictive models to determine purchase likelihood, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer complex business questions by using appropriate statistical techniques on available data
  • Use predictive modeling, statistical inference, and optimization algorithms to increase and enhance customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes
  • Discover the customer journey, identify appropriate segments, and create new and/or improved client reports (i.e. cross-shop, affinity scoring, path to purchase, RFM etc.)
  • Augment structured data with unstructured (social) data to create robust customer journeys and profiles
  • Measure the effectiveness of performance media to better inform the organization for marketing investment
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify, prioritize, and build necessary analytical systems to provide a scalable, global solution for predictive modeling and optimization
  • Partner closely with cross functional teams to encourage best practices for experimental design and data analysis
  • Create compelling interactive visualizations and presentations to enhance decision making

 


Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, analytics, economics, data science, engineering, or comparable required; Master's degree a plus
  • 3-5 years experience analyzing large databases (2+ years non-academic)
  • Experience with statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python) and a database querying language (e.g., SQL) required
  • Experience working for a consumer-focused company (e.g., retail, hospitality, travel, eCommerce, CPG)
  • Understanding of how to leverage and analyze unstructured data (e.g., social media data)
  • Experience with Adobe Campaign or other ESPs (email service provider) a plus
  • Curiosity and a self-starter attitude
  • Champion of customer experience
  • General affinity and understanding of the luxury consumer a plus
  • Ability to break down and understand complex business problems and define a solution using advanced quantitative methods
  • Meaningful experience with and deep technical understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and optimization algorithms
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to analytics requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to visualize/present data clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated success of providing creative solutions to difficult problems
