Position

The Director of E-Commerce leads and executes the digital business strategy for Fendi Americas. Responsibilities include the development and optimization of the e-commerce operations and e-commerce site management/merchandising functions for fendi.com, the management of the e-concession business in the Americas, as well as the seamless collaboration with other teams, including Client Services, CRM, Digital Marketing, Merchandising and Business Intelligence. The Director will ensure strategic planning and implementation of digital content, merchandising, marketing and digital client experience, in partnership with the Vice President of Omnichannel Americas and global partners.   The Director, E-Commerce is responsible for all matters involving updates and improvements to the existing and new site functionality and design; and for presenting a unified, omnichannel, customer-centric view of Fendi in Americas working closely with the with Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain and HQ Teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:

Digital Store

  • Lead orchestrated strategy of digital store through merchandising, content, design, marketing, innovation and operations, in order to drive additional traffic and sales to fendi.com and meet targets
  • Own & manage P&L of e-commerce business
  • Frame and map opportunities based on historical results and current trends 
  • Manage online margin and maximize online revenue and profitability 
  • Manage and develop direct reports
  • Facilitate cross-collaboration partnerships
  • Support collaboration between Retail and Omnichannel 
  • Ensure continual analysis of omni-data points (surveys, client service feedback, clienteling, social) to address actions for digital business improvement
  • Lead design, execution and measurement of fendi.com beta testing, A/B testing and new e-stores in the Americas
  • Leverage insights on competitors and Fendi digital partners 
  • Maintain positive open lines of communication with leadership and other key contacts across internal departments / HQ 
  • Support Vice President of Omnichannel on long-range planning 

Digital Operations

  • Ensure efficiency and optimization of daily e-commerce operations for fendi.com and e-concession partners
  • Act as the key stakeholder to align Americas e-commerce roadmap with the worldwide digital roadmap
  • Responsible for daily business performance to identify strengths and opportunities in a promptly manner and improve key KPIs, such as net sales, conversion and net-down ratio
  • Ensure e-Commerce targets are met and all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are in place
  • Manage and develop E-Commerce Operations Manager
  • Influence the fulfillment and returns handling aspects of the ecommerce business, in partnership with the Supply Chain/Fulfillment team and the Omnistock Analyst
  • Monitor and oversee fraud management
  • Collaborate with IT on the back-end of the ecommerce technical architecture
  • Partner with Client Services Director on integrated processes and experience 
  • Develop business cases for new e-commerce strategic opportunities
  • Manage key vendor partnerships (including payments and fraud) and partner with Business Intelligence Senior Manager to identify new potential vendors to improve the e-commerce business

Digital Marketing

  • Partner with Digital Marketing to manage digital marketing budget holistically 
  • Partner with Digital Marketing team.
  • Partner with Marketing, BI and CRM 
  • Track competitors, both luxury and best-in-class retailers and benchmark KPIs against industry 

Additional information

  • 8-10 years experience with B2C e-commerce
  • Proven leadership of an E-commerce P&L
  • Extensive knowledge of ecommerce technologies and of current/emerging e-commerce industry best practices
  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
  • Strong leadership skills to grow and manage a best-in-class e-commerce team towards common vision and results
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • Entrepreneurial drive and inclination towards omnichannel
  • Extensive knowledge of digital marketing best practices, industry trends, and leading solution providers
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally
  • Ability to lift boxes / weight up to 10lbs
  • Foreign language skill a plus
