Position

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Director, Quality & Processing, will lead fresh's Quality and Processing team to ensure quality compliance throughout the entire supply chain with component suppliers, bulk manufacturers, and contract manufacturers/subcontractors.   The Director will also define, develop and implement processes for performance improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of quality professionals
  • Identify quality needs, define and implement quality system, processes, procedures and maintain documentation
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing inspections and non-conformances management (components/bulk/finished good non-conformities, customer complaints, etc.)
  • Lead and/or assist in investigations/root cause analysis of quality non-conformances and complaints
  • Develop performance measures and reporting requirements that set quality metrics
  • Lead continuous improvement projects
  • Develop internal methods and procedures by applying relevant methods and techniques
  • Assess suppliers through audits and performance evaluation, train and follow up to address non-conformances
  • Evaluate fillers' filling capability and oversee bulk filling trials
  • Provide a timely and pertinent quality management support to quality inquiries (internal and external partners, customers, government agencies, etc.)

 


Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related technical field discipline
  • Minimum of eight years of Quality experience in the cosmetic industry
  • Previous experience in leading highly efficient and effective teams
  • Expert knowledge of quality system, norms/standards and statistics
  • Strong knowledge of the industry: formulations, bulk and component manufacturing, OTC quality requirements, etc.
  • Understand contract-manufacturer capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, to be able to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external partners
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Leadership and autonomy
  • Proficiency in French preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, to be able to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external partners
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Detail-oriented and process driven.
  • Proficiency at conveying information in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • 15% travel required
