Build MHUSA brand equity, awareness, and career opportunities in culturally diverse consumer and talent populations, both internal and external
Catalyze innovative ideas, programming, and thought leadership to build and execute the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity agenda of MHUSA
Gain alignment with key stakeholders and support budget, planning, development and execution of D&I partnerships, sponsorships and strategic consumer experiences to amplify brand awareness.
Establish strong business partnerships with Brand Teams, Business Insights and Trade Marketing. Provide evaluation and program development recommendations to brands in the area of polycultural consumer marketing.
Support internal employee engagement with diversity focused programming and initiatives
Lead the metrics and tracking databases for all IDE focused programs and initiatives, both internal and external
Diversity Focused Initiatives / Corporate Partnerships / Cultural Diversity Programs & Experiences:
> Serve as a key partner to the new Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) initiatives and programming led by the Head of IDE
> Manage culturally diverse sponsorships and events (inclusive of non-profit /educational/community-based programs).
> Support the Head of IDE to identify and present strategy for MHUSA collaborations in the culturally diverse arena.
> Manage with executional excellence, the logistics and implementation of assigned national and local diversity focused consumer sponsorships and special events across MH portfolio that can lead to increasing the diversity talent pipeline.
> Partner with internal and external key stake-holders including Executive Team, MH brands, Marketing, Trade Marketing, regional teams, legal, procurement and agency partners to drive collaboration and efficiencies in regard to cultural diversity programming.
> Utilize portfolio in the development of innovative culturally diverse engagement and talent recruitment events, including high profile charity events, and events that have potential to garner coverage in culturally diverse media.
> Plan and oversee execution (logistics/implementation) of assigned national and local consumer engagements, sponsorships and special events across MH portfolio.
> Lead various aspects of event planning and establish creative techniques for producing impactful experiences, brand visibility and assets to amplify the event experience.
> Manage agency partners and vendors on implementation of events and collateral design.
> Develop and manage events calendar outlining all planned and ad-hoc programs.
> Ensure all programs and events are in compliance with legal guidelines.
Diversity Focused Thought Leadership & Research:
> Cultivate relationships with key players in the D&I landscape.
> Lead research around trends in diversity and innovation.
> Lead the metrics and tracking databases for all IDE focused programs and initiatives, both internal and external
> Actively support and source key industry events, seminars and conferences to amplify research and network.
> Source and strengthen celebrity and influencer talent relationships to enhance future collaborations and partnerships.
Cultural Diversity Brand Programming:
> Deliver D&I opportunities to MH brands in conjunction with the IDE initiatives. Work closely with brand heads to develop D&I efforts focused on diverse communities and ensure that Cultural Diversity programing is aligned with brand strategies.
> Identify and deliver cultural diversity programs in the influencer, community partner events and media spaces that enhance brand strategies.
> Provide input and support brand teams in their annual planning process as it pertains to culturally diverse programming.
> Collaborate with Brand Teams, Trade Marketing and Business Insights team in the planning and execution of MHUSA Cultural Diversity Conference.
Leadership and Talent Management:
> Support the Head of IDE with developing and defining MHUSA's approach and engagement strategy as it relates to celebrating and supporting culturally diverse consumer segments (Women, AfAm, Hispanic, Asian, LGBTQ+...).
> Work closely with Head of IDE to effectively manage given budget for activations and ensure budget lines are aligned with Brand and MHUSA financial approval guidelines.
> Ensure effective communication and alignment of individual, brand and company goals.
Education: Undergraduate Degree required; Master's degree is a plus
Professional experience & skills: 7 to 10 years of experience in diversity and inclusion programming/events, multicultural marketing, community relations and events planning in the luxury goods arena and/or multicultural facing arenas. Highly organized individual who is able to work with limited direction and collaboration; must be able to set and adjust priorities independently, High level of attention to detail and accuracy, Solid interpersonal and communication skills. Must have an awareness of national and global diversity challenges and opportunites. Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and must be able to adapt to various work styles. Experience working within the beverage alcohol & three-tier system is a plus, however not a requirement. Experience with large global brand activations, multicultural community/educational organizations, and multicultural consumer populations is critical. Proven track record of strategic event planning demonstrating creativity, passion, and interest in facilitating opportunity and access for all. Knowledge of consumer publicity and engagement techniques. A proven record of supporting diversity related programming and events is critical. Experience in delivering and facilitating workshops and seminars is a plus. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
