Position

MISSION STATEMENT

Lead the E-Business development at Moet Hennessy UK across all channels. Building partnerships with E-Retailers and heading up the wider E-commerce team in this highly strategic role and visible role.

In addition to strategy the role will be responsible for leadership of the E-Business team and working with agencies to create engaging and exciting content for execution online.

The E-Business Manager will also act directly as account manager for designated e-retail business and will be targeted to achieve budget objectives through executing market leading and brand activations, which ensure MHUK brands deliver sustainable value growth.

Education

  • Degree level education

Professional experience & know how

  • High level of knowledge of the digital marketplace & dynamics
  • Blue Chip FMCG commercial background
  • Experience of account management or buying roles with E-retail customers (5 years)
  • Experience of influencing senior internal and customer stakeholders 
  • Experience of leading complex customer negotiations
  • Expert knowledge of Digital and E-retail
  • Expert understanding of the online Media landscape
  • Experience of retail direct to consumer websites 
  • Exposure to premium / luxury brands

Profile

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategy Development

  • Lead the UK E-Business channel strategy and explore opportunities with new digital E-business channels across commercial, marketing, and e-merchandising objectives, direct to consumer (Clos 19) and E-Retail partners
  • Drive the evolution on the channel, inspire, train and develop the business knowledge on e-business trends within MHUK
  • Work closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities to create a digital "path to purchase" for brand media campaigns
  • Establish "Best Practices" with the MH Europe E-Retail team
  • Ensure consistent brand execution with bricks and mortar in multi-channel customers
  • Collaborate with brand, insight and category teams to create bespoke and insightful annual E-Retail and Clos 19 Brand Plans
  • Inspire the MHUK sales teams to deliver outstanding E-Retail plans with their customers
  • Lead the cross functional relationships within MHUK to support the development of the e-retail and Clos 19 channels across all teams.
  • Manage, coach and develop the E-Business team

Digital Merchandising

  • Create and manage E-retail digital trade assets by working with Brand Teams and Creative Agencies
  • Monitoring of key E-retailers to manage and improve brand merchandising, using the Moet Hennessy Global E-Retail Scorecard and AIR product database. Improve visibility through precise & set up KPIs
  • Support Sales Teams in developing, implementing and measuring effectiveness of Digital assets

Account Management

  • Be the lead for the designated key e-retail customer(s) in MHUK
  • To lead and implement a customer strategy and plan that achieves the annual customer budget
  • Deliver agreed volume, cost price, customer investment (FTT) and profit targets for each of the brands through the designated customer portfolio 
  • Lead the planning and manage the monthly and annual sales forecast in the commercial planning system
  • Update and maintain customer account plans and all associated documents using agreed company standards
  • Actively work to protect and grow the distribution of Moet Hennessy brands within the e-retail customer(s)
  • Analyse and share sell out data using available resources provided through customer EPOS systems
  • Ensure timely completion of relevant commercial admin (pricing changes, new line admin, invoice processing)
  • Enable effective credit management and cash collection in conjunction with the finance team

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong external relationships with customers across senior management, commercial, category, supply chain, marketing, media teams. This should include directly managed accounts and those managed by the wider sales team
  • Lead the relationship with designated customers and ensure a high level of service at all times
  • Lead, develop and negotiate annual Joint Business Plans with key customer(s). 
  • Lead regular JBP strategy / business review presentations and business reviews with senior customer stakeholders
  • Ensure ongoing tracking of performance vs plan internally and externally
  • Present regular business updates to MHUK senior management and MH Europe teams
  • Work closely with MHUK and customer supply chain teams to ensure service level targets are delivered and lead the supply chain relationship with designated customer(s)
  • To deliver product and brand education events as required
