Position

The position is based in Fendi HQ in Rome. Reporting to the WW E-Business & Omnichannel Director and closely working with WW Retail Merchandising teams and Zones GMMs, the candidate will have the main responsibility to coordinate all merchandising activities of e-commerce store. The candidate will be the main referent for Retail Merchandising Team (WW and Zones) and Zones Ecommerce teams on Digital product strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • During buying sessions, define Online Core offer in cooperation with WW Retail Merch; define and supervise online product assortment
  • Coordinate zones buying strategy and e-commerce allocation; setup omnichannel stock strategy during buying session
  • Closely work with Zone GMMs for core offer local adaptations, product launches, permanent & carry-over stock availability checks and local actions plans to boost e-commerce sales
  • Coordinate online catalogue updates: pre-order plan & launch plan definition with Sales & Marketing; coordinate online launches; coordinate dedicated online product depletion with Supply Chain and WW Retail Merch
  • Review product ranking and placements across the website; coordinate e-VM guidelines with support of WW Retail Merch
  • Analyse stock & sales identifying areas of opportunities and improvement
  • Coordinate dedicated action plans by category with E-commerce Store Management team
  • Periodically and systematically benchmark the online competition in terms of merchandising and product-related launching and e-commerce activities

Profile

The position requires an individual who works well in changing environment, fast and dynamic.

  • Working from 4 to 6 years in retail merchandising (of which at least 2 years in e-commerce merchandising preferred)
  • Deep product knowledge and strong merchandising skills
  • Knowledge about e-commerce landscape, processes and competition
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines, especially during buying sessions and launches
  • Preferred experience with online merchandising tools and logics (personalization, cross sell and up sell)
  • Analytical background and skills, excellent usage of Excel
  • Proactivity, creativity, passion and attention to details
  • Availability to periodically travel to visit markets worldwide
  • Fluent English needed
