Job Title: Field Training Manager

Location: New York Corporate Office

Main Objective:

The Field Trainer / Training Manager is responsible for in-store training, elevating the client experience, and driving sales performance throughout the retail community. Through ongoing training and coaching, the Field Trainer / Training Manager will ensure the store teams build brand loyalty while performing their jobs with confidence, achieving KPI's and striving for excellence in all that they do.

Induction of New Hires & New Store Openings

  • Implement new hire training plan, plus track and follow-up on the successful induction of all new hires in the retail network
  • Support the organization and delivery of brand induction and sales training for new hires
  • Develop and implement custom training plan for all new Managers
  • Coordinate and execute training plan for New Store Openings

Mystery Shopping & Client Satisfaction Survey

  • Drive overall improvement of Mystery Shopping and Client Satisfaction results
  • Analyze results and support Store Managers in the development and implementation of custom training plans to improve the client experience and grow sales

Ongoing Training & In-Store Coaching

  • Motivate and inspire store teams to achieve and exceed retail KPI's
  • Supply the retail teams with practical tools such as morning meeting exercises and role plays to make training a daily practice in-store
  • Deliver in-store morning meetings and trainings to drive business objectives such as up-selling, cross-selling,
  • closing the sale, clienteling, etc.
  • Foster client-centric attitudes and behaviors and develop skills through on-the-floor observations and spot coaching
  • Partner with Store Manager to identify development opportunities and define custom training plans based on performance issues and business goals
  • Provide qualitative feedback to optimize the effectiveness of learning modules - in-store, classroom, and e-learning
  • Participate in monthly regional conference calls to share best-practices and updates
  • Track and measure the impact of training as possible

Special Training Meetings & Initiatives

  • Assist with the planning and execution of annual FENDI Americas Managers' Meeting
  • Participate in the annual WW Retail Seminar
  • Support specific training initiatives and pilots as needed


Required Skills, Knowledge and Attributes

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a high-end, luxury retail environment with a proven track record of developing direct reports and building effective teams
  • Prior experience in corporate training is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to coach and develop people at multiple levels of performance

  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen with the ability to motivate and inspire others through a client-centric mindset, business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Foreign language skills are a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian)
  • 60% Travel as needed
