Position

MAIN STATEMENT

Monitor MHUSA/MHNA headcounts and overheads in relationship with operational departments
Supervise tracking of A&P for transversal initiatives and in support of brands and regions

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Headcount and Overheads monitoring

- Work with HR to set headcount budget, ensure follow-up and explain variations, especially between budgeted payroll vs actual
- Establish detailed overheads budgets with operational departments and review them on a regular basis to ensure they don't overspend
- Participate in monthly and year end close, in conjunction with the accounting department, in particular on review of accruals
- Perform monthly analysis to the management on overheads, with focus on T&E and consultancy costs
- Conduct forecast and actual (quarterly) reporting to MH on Overheads, through Topaz Overheads cube
- Coordinate MH North America overheads analyses, interacting with Mexico and Canada ; ensure reconciliation with MHCS/Hennessy Maisons for the overheads specific to Canada market in relationship with the market controller
- Collaborate with Finance Reporting to prepare Topaz and Anaplan input templates on overheads and to ensure consistency of data across systems (SAP, Topaz, Anaplan)
- Answer ad hoc requests from Senior Management on Overheads
- Communicate and interact with MH Central Finance team on Overheads
- Support Brands controllers in their relationship with Maisons regarding overheads allocation
- Utilize SAP in order to deliver efficient and effective management information
- Effectively use business systems tools for budgeting, reporting, tracking and analysis
- Implement solutions for automation of internal reporting / dashboarding

Supervision of A&P tracking

- Provide overview on global MHUSA A&P budget and follow-up with FP&A team actual expenses, supervise and ensure global progression of A&P accruals process
- Establish and follow-up of All brands Budget with Head of marketing department and any other stakeholders, with specific focus on Specialists budget in relationship with the National Brand Activation Director
- Ensure implementation and control of A&P freeze process across brands and regions
- Participate in monthly and year end close, in conjunction with the accounting department, especially on summary of accruals and validation of supporting documentation
- Manage A&P structure in SAP (WBS)
- Collaborate with Finance Reporting to prepare Topaz and Anaplan input templates on A&P and to ensure consistency of data across systems (SAP, Topaz, Anaplan, BI)
- Support Brands / Regions controllers regarding A&P tracking
- Effectively use business systems tools for budgeting, reporting, tracking and analysis
- Support VP FP&A on A&P effectiveness studies


Profile

Education: Finance Degree required, Advanced degree preferred

Languages: English

Professional experience: 4/5 years relevant financial planning or accounting experience

Technical & management skills:
- Solid accounting knowledge
- Mastery of MSExcel (advanced functionalities) and MSPowerpoint, MSOffice suite
- Experience with SAP ECC, practice of Hyperion (Essbase), Anaplan, and/or Cognos preferred
- Macro-programming in Visual Basic is a plus
