  • In charge of the month-end process for two brands of our portfolio
  • Management of company tax compliance and tax project work
  • Collate information for and provide support for external audit
  • General project analysis to meet business needs and strategy
  • Support the accounting team and the Finance and Operations Director where appropriate

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Fully in charge of the month-end process of two brands:
  • Producing OPEX accruals and prepayment schedules
  • Depreciation calculation
  • Reconcile SAP to the retail sales system
  • Liaising with group companies to confirm inter-company balances and submit monthly reports
  • Balance sheet preparation, reconciliation with the P&L, and brand allocation
  • Shared service centre and general office brand allocations
  • Monthly upload of data to group level via the reporting system
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register and management of authorisation process
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of quarterly VAT returns. Support members of the finance team with the EC Sales List and Intrastat
  • Liaise with and utilise the Company's external tax advisors for tax planning and advisory work
  • Collate information for Corporation Tax POAs and annual return
  • Tax analysis and preparation of calculations for NI including P11Ds, PSA and TAS
  • Work with the Finance and Operations Director on tax project work
  • Provide assistance in the gathering of information and documentation for external audit purposes including HMRC and external auditors
  • Internal audit self-assessment review and reporting
  • Work closely with the After Sales departments to provide Senior Management with monthly KPI reports
  • Point of sale and boutique back office support


Qualification, Experience & Skills Required:


  • Qualified professional - ACA/ACCA (CTA would be desirable but not essential)

Professional Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Prior UK company tax experience
  • Excellent IT skills - specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Commercial awareness and common sense/pragmatic approach
