Louis Vuitton has a unique opportunity for a Financial Controller who will lead the accounting function and be responsible for the accuracy and reliability of Louis Vuitton America's financials. While there will be direct management of the North American and Caribbean entities, you will partner closely to liaise with the Finance teams located in Mexico and Brazil to ensure consistency. Based in New York and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this pivotal role will challenge current policies and procedures to ensure the team is operating as efficiently as possible while partnering with multiple departments within the organization to explain and implement these policies.
With an in-depth knowledge of accounting, you will oversee the close process and work with the team in Paris as well as our parent company, LVMH Inc., to report the company's figures in a timely manner. You will also manage the audit process with outside firms and take action based on the results. As a strong business partner, you will collaborate with other leaders within the Finance team, such as FP&A and Risk Management, to provide necessary information regarding the company's financials and work in partnership to improve policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management of the both direct and indirect reports in order to improve performance and drive the success of the teams.
We are eager to speak to professionals who possess a Bachelor's Degree in a Finance field and have a CPA in addition to a minimum of fifteen years' of experience in Finance. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual who possesses the ability to strategically lead a business and successfully manage a team. As a strong team player and leader, you will be required to be hands-on when necessary and understand the importance of the detail behind the business for which you are responsible for. Given the fast paced nature of the business, you will be adaptable, agile, and thrive working in a high profile and dynamic business. In addition, you must have previous experience in SAP and preferably have worked for an international company.
