Position

Floor manager

The Floor Manager provides support to the Boutique Director in the overall management of the Boutique, team, merchandise and client experience.  In partnership with the Boutique Director, the Floor Manager leads and develops the team, delivers operational excellence, drives the achievement of sales results and ensures that the highest level of client experience is delivered at all times.  

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Team Management & Development

  • Motivate and support the team so that they perform at their highest level to meet their individual and Boutique objectives
  • Support the Boutique Director in the in-store training routine and on-boarding of new hires
  • Supervise Boutique personnel and enforce company policies
  • Identify, recruit and develop talents in collaboration with the Boutique Director
  • Manage and motivate the team to drive business: create a positive and harmonious work environment and foster cooperation within the team
  • Proactively assess and manage performance of the team
  • Act as a role model demonstrating sales leadership to the team by supporting them with Customer Journey, selling ceremony, client retention and fostering cross selling
  • Ensure policies, brand standards and grooming guidelines are communicated and implemented

 

Client and Business Management

  • Build and maintain client books; meeting sales objectives
  • Manage quality of customer service to meet customer expectations
  • Help to develop action plans to improve Mystery Shopper Results
  • Implement appropriate CRM tools and develop loyal clients
  • Be aware of market trends and give feedback to Boutique Director
  • Support the team in building long term client relationships, leveraging the clienteling tools
  • Establish a client-centric mindset in store to ensure the highest level of client experience and proactively handle any situation that may arise
  • Partner with Boutique Director to communicate and inspire the team on corporate strategy and relevant business operations
  • Implement action plans to help support Boutique Director to help boost business and maximize product performance, leveraging visual merchandise, clienteling, training and team work

 

Visual Merchandising  

  • Work with the Visual Merchandising Ambassador to ensure Visual Merchandising is consistent with Company standards; periodically align visual merchandising and sales performance

 

Inventory Management

  • Ensure that merchandise is properly managed, displayed, stored and maintained by team
  • Support Boutique Director in maintaining inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards, such as making sure cycle count procedures are completed as per guidelines
  • Ensure opening/closing counting duties are completed as required

 

Retail Performance

  • Ensure proper procedures are being met regarding cash, credit card and check processing
  • Control petty cash is in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • Support Boutique Director in ensuring Top Boutique standards are being implemented and met
  • Ensure team follows health & safety procedures

 


Profile

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service related industry and proven track record of managing a team of 20 or more;
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred;
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills;
  • Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment;
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and asses talent;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills;
  • Passion for the fashion industry;
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
