Position

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION

The Forecaster supports the marketing director by monitoring the forecasting and ordering processes in line with brand's marketing strategy.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Forecaster is the interface between the Marketing team, Sales team and the Demand & Supply Planning in France. Main responsibilities are to:

Monitor Forecasting process

  • Forecasting of all saleable products through forecasts system (both novelty and catalog products)
  • Forecasting and consumption planning of non-saleable products
  • Monitor Rolling Forecasts on a monthly basis to make sure it is on track with the trends
  • Work on all sell in reporting for monthly review with management and supply team
  • Monitor and communicate after-launch results to improve short and long term forecasts accuracy
  • Improve forecast accuracy by comparing and analyzing sales plans and forecasts with actual results
  • Assist GM & Marketing Director during annual budget and products analysis

Monitor product availability and delivery to retailers

  • Deal with Demand & Supply department in Paris for main products
  • Follow up monthly product availability vs forecasts vs sales targets
  • Coordinate product allocation with Marketing, Sales, Supply teams

Participate in periodic reviews with other brand's departments as well as with Demand & Supply Planning department.

In this position, all initiative taken to propose and conduct any continuous improvement actions / project (optimized tool, simplified processes, reduction of administrative workload...) will be welcome and encouraged.


Profile

PRINCIPAL COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

  • 4-5 years Marketing Planning / Sales Forecasting / Supply Chain Planning experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Marketing Planning / Forecasting / Supply Chain concepts and applications
  • Proficiency in Future Master
  • English proficiency (French would be a big plus)
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
  • Ability to animate reviews with top management
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
