Position

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

>  Plan, implement and control an effective PR strategy to assist with maximizing the sales potential of new products, together with a plan for existing brands. This, in line with the Company's international strategy within agreed budget / profitability levels, and in view of market share development.
>  Extend coverage from product launches to include more institutional communication of Dior's heritage and credibility as a fashion and fragrance House.
>  To form part of the senior team of Dior setting the direction of the brand
>  Manage and develop the PR team
>  Identify and establish relationships with key UK/Irish makeup artists and celebrities to drive product placement, further build Dior's reputation for makeup artist expertise and reputation as a "hot" brand by opinion formers

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

>  Ensuring that PR activity supports marketing & advertising activity
>  Building relationship with Journalists, key suppliers, opinion formers and industry figures
>  Planning and managing PR Budget
>  Managing a team of two
>  Initiate both corporate and product PR coverage through P.R. launches, trips, events and one to one contact with key media contacts.
>  Continually seek new opportunities to increase the exposure and therefore raise the awareness and profile of the Dior brand
>  Ensure all relevant magazine and newspaper titles, as well as key TV and radio journalists receive and know about forthcoming product launches.
>  Work with selected key titles on securing exclusives for big stories to generate bigger impact pieces that complement overall launch coverage
>  Build relationships with Dior Couture press in the UK in order to maximise synergies and initiate joint events where appropriate
>  Co-ordinate with France all activity and information for new launches, press releases, visuals and press events including centrally organised press trips.
>  Where appropriate, create press releases and organise shoot photography locally; control the ordering of product, stock and corporate material.
>  Evaluate editorial coverage and proactively identify ways to improve its quality and increase its volume. Work closely with Team UK on PR/media projects.
>  Liaise with marketing department to ensure press support for local initiatives.
>  Liaise with Business Managers organising regional activity where editorial coverage and support is needed.

>  Established contacts with UK / Irish Press
>  Perfect written and spoken English
>  Previous Management experience
>  Senior Executive stature
>  Previous experience in an in house PR Department preferable but not essential
