Position

Position Overview:

Responsible for establishing partnerships with the US and Canada Sales Organization to align and achieve company objectives. The position will serve in a generalist capacity by developing and executing HR initiatives across the following areas: HR KPIs, talent management, performance management, training and development, compliance, and employee relations.


Profile

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze retail KPIs to provide guidance and create action plans with Sales Leaders
  • Discuss store organizational needs with Sales Leaders, and create and execute plans to drive results and develop our people
  • Determine the internal communication strategy and tools to roll out Human Resources initiatives to the field and retail organization
  • Oversee the new hire and separations processes for field positions, including partnering with hiring managers on the onboarding immersion plan, leading HR onboarding, and conducting exit interviews
  • Partner with field leaders on the execution of the progressive discipline program
  • Develop tools and trainings to educate current and new employees on how to identify and coach to behaviors to improve performance
  • Assess the training and development needs of the retail organization
  • Ensure consistency in the execution of HR policies and practices, and manage HR compliance for the field and retail organization
  • Partner with Retail Operations Department to develop and implement policies and procedures for the Boutiques
  • Lead Employee Relations by providing guidance and solutions to field and boutique leaders, and liaising with Legal partners as necessary
  • Partner with Assistant Manager of Benefits on the management and communication of leaves of absence, including FMLA, Short Term Disability, and Paid Parental Leave
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager on the recruitment of Retail roles
  • Collaborate with the HR Team on developing and executing key initiatives to drive the business
  • Administrative responsibilities as needed

Additional information

Qualifications & Skills REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist within the retail industry
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws
  • Team orientation with an ability to establish credibility with internal/external partners
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and developing trusting relationships with employees
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues
