Position
Louis Vuitton is seeking a Logistics Associate - Maternity Coverage based out of our New York City office to ensure efficient physical flows from our Distribution Center to point of sales and/or clients for a period of 9 months. This will include partnering with third party vendors to ensure the transportation process runs efficiently and additionally provide support to stores for any issues relating to transportation. The Logistics Associate - Maternity Coverage will be responsible for store relationships and providing relevant and reliable information pertaining to delivery lead times, order follow up, and relay store requests to the appropriate department. Additional tasks include deploying short term and day-to-day activities to ensure efficient response to logistics defined strategies, ensuring compliance with all required documentations to support transportation flows and answer discrepancy reports and work with the warehouse on any parcel issues.
From a project management perspective, the Logistics Associate - Maternity Coverage will be responsible for partnerships with vendors and define action plans to improve processes, methods and tools and improve communication of disturbances to stores. They will encourage the implementation of environmentally conscious alternatives and propose transportation strategy when and if applicable. Additionally, the Logistics Associate - Maternity Coverage will work with various departments to ensure simplify invoicing, payments and reconciliation processes with vendors and that all reports are triggered properly.
Profile
We are eager to speak to individuals that have two to three years' professional experience in a Logistics environment, with prior retail or general reconciliation experience with the use of different reporting tools. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, comfortable with analyzing big data sets and experience with importing and formatting reports for manipulation. Experience with SAP, Power Query or Power BI is a plus. Additionally, fluency in French is also a plus!
