Position

  • Manage daily distribution center production, control service levels and commit budgeted unit throughput performance
  • Provide daily supervision of warehouse to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the distribution center. 
  • Direct the operations of the distribution center personnel to achieve prescribed objectives
  • Oversee the daily manpower allocation and work assignment; make adjustment to staff allocation where necessary
  • Coordinate with merchandising, replenishment & allocation, operations management and stock control to manage inventory levels and distribution services for stores in all divisions.
  • Develop procedures and oversee its execution to maximize efficiency and utilization of all distribution center equipment
  • Develop programs and oversee its implementation assure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property
  • Review and Update Logistics Procedure Manual as and when required
  • Work with HR in organizing training to logistics team
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and disciplining subordinates
  • Assure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports regarding distribution center operations
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse expenses and budgets as set by management
  • Perform any other duties as directed by management
  • Assist Director, Logistics to establish annual logistics goals and operating budgets
  • Deputize the Director, Logistics when she / he is out of the office

Profile

  • University graduate with at least 8 years' experience in Logistic Management
  • Providing effective leadership, and the ability to develop good working relationships with teams
  • Mathematical, statistical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Positive and self-motivated, able to work independently as well as with all levels of staff and management as a resourceful and proactive team member.
  • Have a sense of urgency
  • High energy level and adaptability to changing needs and priorities
  • Good communication skills, negotiating skills and planning skills
